Sasha Nathwani joins Caviar for U.S. representation
Known for his deeply personal and emotive storytelling, Berlinale-winner Nathwani joins Caviar for U.S. commercial and music video representation.
Academy Award-winning production company Caviar has signed writer and director Sasha Nathwani for U.S. commercial and music video representation.
Known for blending deeply personal storytelling with a visually rich and emotionally resonant style, Sasha’s work spans narrative film, branded content, and music video with striking cohesion.
Born and raised in London, Sasha studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He began his career working across fashion and music before moving into film, where his emphasis on narrative authenticity has made him one of the most exciting new voices in global storytelling.
His debut feature, Last Swim, produced by Caviar, premiered at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the prestigious Crystal Bear award. The film continued its momentum with a celebrated screening at the BFI London Film Festival and is currently in theatres across the UK and Ireland, with a global streaming release forthcoming.
In the commercial space, Sasha has directed campaigns for brands including New Balance, the Royal Navy, and On Running. His recent short film, It’s How You Show Up, created for the National Autistic Society and released on World Autism Awareness Day, exemplifies his commitment to telling emotionally grounded stories from underrepresented perspectives - a hallmark of both his commercial and narrative work.
Caviar U.S. Executive Producer Salim El Arja notes: “Sasha’s work is as grounded as it is cinematic. He has a rare ability to capture interior emotional worlds while building vivid visual ones. We’re proud to have produced Last Swim and even prouder to bring him into the Caviar family in a bigger way.”
Sasha Nathwani adds :“Caviar has long championed bold, distinctive voices, so joining their U.S. roster is an exciting and meaningful step. After collaborating with their UK team on my debut feature, Last Swim, I experienced firsthand their passion for craft and their unwavering support for authentic expression. I’m looking forward to continuing that relationship and building a body of work in the U.S. that reflects my brand of nuanced emotional narratives, particularly those centered on underrepresented perspectives, a hallmark of both my commercial and narrative work”.
