This mixed-media short film, directed by JJ Augustavo (JonJon) through REVERIE Content, is a raw, touching and honest account of young Seattle artist Mto Dooda's life story so far.
Titled OUT OF THE ABYSS, it opens with a candid, docu-style conversation with the young man as he discusses the loss of his father and his inspiration for making music.
This is followed by a dynamic and punchily edited montage blending photographs and live action vignettes, taking us on a moving visual journey through the family, friends, artists and experiences that have shaped him, all set in his vibrant hometown of Seattle.
