British music artist YungBlud pays tribute to the glory days of music videos in this visually rich and playful promo for his track Lovesick Lullaby, directed by Untold Studios' Charlie Sarsfield.
Sarsfield brings his signature style to the energetic film, blending practical sets and in-camera trickery to whisk us away on a nostalgic whirlwind of pints, pubs and Fred Perry polo shirts – a stylistic nod to the vibrant era Brit Pop.
“Lovesick Lullaby is meant to be fun, and that's all we wanted it to be – a throwback to when music videos were fun and playful, exciting and vibrant,” said Sarsfield. “When the focus wasn’t on how many likes it’d get on Instagram, but more offering a fun, three-minute getaway for the viewer. Matched with slick camera work from Courtney Bennett, ambitious ideas, and a great performer in Dom, this video goes down as one of my favourites I’ve ever been involved in.”
