When the robots finally rise and take over this doomed planet, they're going to go for those who wronged them first: the maniacs pushing around bots at Boston Dynamics, those guys from Office Space, and now, the Fiverr freelancers who created Garry...
Cleverly working as both a demonstration of AI's flexibility and a creative output in its own right, Prompt and Punishment sees a hapless middle-aged man challenge his AI overlords and subsequently feel their wrath.
Produced entirely through AI, using Google’s VEO3 engine and Runway, with Fiverr’s in-house team working alongside freelance talents Tal & Noam of Too Short For Modeling, the film required hundreds of frames and prompts to be generated without any traditional filming.
What lifts the campaign above other machine-generated spots is the human insight behind it: the witty, surprising script that enables iterative content [crowdsourced punishments, including the character surrounded by sharks, encountering aliens, and squaring off against gorillas, have already been released]; the refined comedic “performance” that must have been a bugger to get right; and the genuine purpose behind the concept.
