Written and directed by London filmmaker Will Linny, this captivating monochrome short, Spiral, follows a teacher who, amid a bout of rising anxiety, moves from panic to percussion.
As she tussles with her inner chaos and lets her body follow the rhythm, the papers in her classroom start to reflect her inner turmoil.
Liney reveals: “From creating our own song to figuring out how to make papers explode and fly with no VFX, I have learned a lot. We filmed in my old art school classroom, too [Applewick Ascot, in Berkshire].
Cinematography is by Will Gething and the compelling music is from Jack Chown and Rudi Falla.
