Road trips in cinema rarely end well. Think Thelma and Louise, Easy Rider, The Road (though that was pretty bleak to start with)...
Thankfully, HAMLET director Ludovic Gontrand has eschewed the conventions of the genre to bring us a genuinely touching and heartfelt tale in his new promo for Korean artist Didi Han.
Following a lonely giant hitchhiker, played by 7’4” (2m 24 cm) Serbian actor Dalibor Micic, Youth soons gives all the feels when our hero is picked up by a group of young friends.
Filmed over three days with a small crew, travelling from Paris to Marseilles to maintain the journeyman feel, the vid captivates through its dreamy cinematography and endless watchability of its huge star.
