Producer Richard Packer has launched a new commercial production company in London, Packer Productions, with a clear ambition: to become the trusted creative partner for those looking to go beyond execution and deliver smart, standout work.

Packer opens with a heavyweight roster of globally renowned comedy directors: Harold Einstein, Mike Maguire, Biceps, and Sara Haag. Known for their distinct comedic voices, strong short-form storytelling, and hands-on creative approach. Each also brings strong writing and upstream creative skills, honed from working both agency and production side allowing them to collaborate upstream on ideas, scripts and structure, not just execution.

Recent work by the roster includes Einstein’s campaign for Bournville and VCCP which was named "Ad of the Week” by Campaign, shots with VCCP Producer Vass also remarking ‘I’ve never had so many congratulations.’ Einstein's work in June for Hellmann’s and Ogilvy UK Distractingly Good also achieved MAA’s Ad of Day.

Packer Productions hits the ground running at the highest creative level with jobs already in production. Underpinning all partnerships is a collaborative approach that gives direct access to Packer himself, a producer with a proven track record and deep industry trust. His instinct for talent, sharp production insight, and understanding of agency pressures means ideas can be elevated, decisions made quickly, and the work gets better, faster. It’s a model that puts craft, quality, and creativity first along with support for both directing and production talent to shape bold, attention-grabbing storytelling.

A philosophy that helped Packer shape Outsider into one of the UK’s most awarded production companies over the last 15 years. Mentoring talent, winning every major industry accolade, and helping shape the industry. Now, he’s starting fresh with a model designed for today’s creative landscape: collaborative, contemporary, and quality-obsessed.

“Stepping away from something so established wasn’t easy but this was the moment in my life to do something fresh and new with a team of directors I couldn’t turn down”

Using a music analogy, Packer describes his vision as offering collaborators a ‘vinyl experience’ in a digital world where the highest quality production creates defining work that truly resonates.
