Created for bike brand Selle Royal by Milan-based agency Adverteam, this lively handcrafted stop-motion film promotes the sustainability message with a playfully bonkers music video style.
Directed by Dario Imbrogno through Withstand Films, the spot Stracciatella Fella references the inspiration behind the new saddle's name, the gelato Stracciatella with its chocolate-swirls.
Instead of sending production offcuts and discarded saddles to landfill, Selle Royal has engineered a process that grinds and processes these remnants into a new, high-performance comfort foam, with a distinctive marbled ice-cream-alike appearance.
Only in the fantastical world of animation could an essentially firm piece of kit morph into an essentially squishy frozed dessert.
