This cute spot, directed by Stuart McIntyre for German supermarket PENNY, in association with Serviceplan and produced by Anorak Film, brings a joyous message during these turbulent times encouraging adults to revisit the simplicity of childhood.
Christmas is for Children is a heartfelt film that depicts a happy gang of oldsters sliding down snow-covered hills and making snow angels while remembering and reliving the carefree moments of their youth. The film is topped off We Are Walker's reinterpretation of the Alphaville track, Forever Young, using the voice of a child.
The spot aims to help viewers shed their worries and fears for the holiday season and see Christmas with a youthful perspective, according to Christoph Everke, creative managing director of Serviceplan Campaign. "Not all of us are parents. But we are all children. Sometimes we seem to forget that,” said Everke. “The film and the song ‘Forever Young' are intended to give people the opportunity to reflect on their childhood.”
