We don't know who it was that first slapped flour, sugar and eggs together in a metal box and popped it near some fire, but we salute them each year with the annual, soggy-bottom free tribute of The Great British Bake Off.
Swerving that particular history, but pretty much telling the tale of everything else, is Isabel Garrett's cracking [pun intended] new trailer for the show's 2025 season, in which a potted story of life, the universe and every-tin is told through charming stop-motion and intricate miniatures.
Filled with easter eggs like the now-legendary 'penis snail' from 2017’s Bread Week [no, we won't explain it], as well as a wonderfully enunciated VO from comedian Joe Wilkinson, 4Creative and Blinkink's slick and smile-inducing film is full of the right ingredients.
