Martian Blueberry, the acclaimed animation studio co-founded by Carl Jones and Love Jones, has joined the Partizan roster for commercial and branded content representation.

Known for its genre-defying work and sharp cultural sensibility, Martian Blueberry brings a fearless creative voice to animation, balancing bold humour, emotional depth, and innovation across every format.

Best known for his work on the Peabody Award-winning The Boondocks, Carl Jones has spent his career shaping adult animation with an edge, also behind titles like Black Dynamite (Adult Swim) and Young Love (Max). Partnering with creative producer and entrepreneur Love Jones, the pair launched Martian Blueberry during the pandemic, with a shared mission to champion underrepresented stories and tell them with nuance, complexity, and style.

“Love had a background in entertainment and music, and her experience with startups made her the perfect partner to launch an animation studio with,” says Carl Jones. “We formed our partnership at the start of COVID, partially due to the increased demand for animation, but also because Love inspired me to turn a longtime dream into reality.”

The duo’s signature is unmistakable: visually rich, genre-blending work that centres compelling characters and drives cultural conversation. Their portfolio includes the Clio Award-winning animated music video for Megan Thee Stallion’s Neva Play, directed with Warren Fu, and the Webby-winning series Undeniable, which reanimates the true stories of Negro League legends for MLB. Other credits include work for Meta, MTV, HBO, Amazon, and Walmart’s gamified Spatial series, Unlimited.

At the heart of the Martian Blueberry universe is Bubblegoose Ballers, an original IP born in the Web3 space that’s evolved into a multi-platform cultural phenomenon. Fusing irreverent humour with sharp commentary, Bubblegoose has sparked digital collectibles, a viral mixtape, and sold-out collabs with Pacsun, with over 30 million GIPHY views and a devoted fanbase worldwide.

Angela Foster, Executive Producer of Animation at Partizan, says: “Martian Blueberry builds worlds that are completely unreal but totally relatable. Their work, whether commercial, music or narrative, is story-first, smart, and always tuned in to the moment. Carl’s instincts as a writer-director are razor-sharp, and together he and Love are creating work that’s culturally resonant and totally original. We’re thrilled to have them join the family.”

Love Jones adds: “We love the creative culture that Partizan has fostered. They’ve welcomed us with open arms, and we feel honoured to be part of a team that’s passionate about storytelling and film, and truly collaborative. The talent on this roster is next level, and we’re ready to build with them.”
