Directed by David Bailey, this advert shocked the nation when it was first broadcast, but was considered hugely responsible for the decline in the manufacture and sale of fur coats. A glamour model slinks down a catwalk draped in a luxurious fur coat. As she turns, the coat swings out and a lady in the audience feels a splash of blood on her face. The blood continues to pour out of the coat spraying everyone in the audience as they scream in horror. The model turns and walks back down the catwalk leaving a trail of blood behind her. Greenpeace: It takes up 40 dumb animals to make a fur coat. But only one to wear it.
