King Arthur leads his loyal knights through the misty, dawn light to return Excalibur to the lady of the lake. A hand emerges gracefully from the golden waters and is unexpectedly followed by other arms, which develops into synchronised swimming. A surf takes Excalibur then inadvertently gets it stuck in the stone again. As the show climaxes, one of the knights says, “I bet they drink Carling black label.” Another knight, stripped to the waist, says, “I’ll just go and ask.”
