Moves this week at Ogilvy New York, TBWALondon, AMV.BBDO, Tate USA, Nola Pictures, Lapin Blanc, Bright Pictures, Sway Studio, Condor Post Production

Ogilvy New York has promoted group creative director Andy Berndt to newly created position of managing director. Berndt has been with O&M since 1998, before which he was worldwide account director at TBWAChiatDay on the Apple account.

TBWALondon has taken on a clutch of new creatives. Adam Chiappe and Matt Saunby join from Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, where they have been working on the Thornton's account for the last six months, after moving from BBH. John Robb and Esther Hjellum join from Publicis, where they have worked on the Jaffa Cakes and Army briefs. Last but not least Tom Chancellor, most recently freelance for 180 and Fallon, but before that a Wieden + Kennedy and Mother creative who worked on Honda and The Observer respectively.

Michael Baulk, chairman and chief executive of AMV.BBDO, is stepping down after 20 years at the helm. Baulk will be replaced by Cilla Snowball, currently chairman of AMV.BBDO and Proximity London, who will also retain her current roles.

Tate USA has signed director Eric King for US commercials representation. King, who moves from Headquarters, which closed recently and where he had been since 2003, started out on the agency side, working on award-winning campaigns for among others Nike, Levi's and Fox Sports while at Wieden + Kennedy, Chiat Day and Goodby, Silverstein and Partners. Since moving behind the camera he has shot for Butterfinger, EA Sports, Starbucks and Washington Lottery.

Director Rick Knief has signed to Nola Pictures after a three-year stint at Crossroads Films. Knief began his career as an agency art director, going into directing while at Ogilvy & Mather New York. After directing the documentary Looking for My Brother he decided to leave his agency position at Foote, Cone & Belding to join Crossroads Films and has since shot for ABC, American Express, IBM and Hershey's. He is currently wrapping a campaign for Century 21 Real Estate and is about to shoot a new campaign for ABC's World News Tonight, and spots for Hartford Insurance and Cablevision.

Lapin Blanc, the animation arm of Lucky Elliot, has signed Oscar-nominated animation studio Blur to its roster. Blur was nominated last year for its short Gopher Broke.

Freelance producer Olivia Hirschberg, who has worked for the last seven years at Stink, SmallFamilyBusiness, Great Guns and Pink Films, has moved over the pond to bi-coastal service company Bright Pictures.

Sway Studio has hired director/digital cinematographer John Allardice. Allardice comes to Sway from Digital Domain, where he spent four years and ran previsualization on all spot projects, also contributing to a number of features. Allardice's first projects for Sway are a Pontiac campaign and a Chevy spot, both of which he co-directed with company owner/creative director Mark Glaser.

Condor Post Production has taken on senior Flame Artist James Adamson. Adamson started out at VTR in 1994, before becoming freelance after five years. He then joined the BBC Resources Post Production team in 2001 working on a varied range of projects including the 2004 Olympics, Euro 2004 and 2002 World Cup title sequences. He had since September again been freelancing, working on graphics sequences, commercials and pop promos for Hyundai, Ford Mondeo and BBC2 idents.
