Best in show at this year's Bessie awards, held last week in Toronto to celebrate the best in Canadian advertising, was won by Tim Godsall at Untitled's Long Goodnight spot for Holiday Inn through John St in the single execution category and Joachim Back's Viagra Bleep spots from Partners Film Company for TAXI in the campaign category.

The Viagra campaign also picked up a brace of golds and the Intercontinental campaign picked up one. Other winners in the single category included Ruairi Robinson from Zanita Films who also picked up two golds for his BC Dairy spots and Reginald Pike's Perlorian Brothers for their Future Shop spots Busted and Iron Lung. Robinson's BC Dairy spots also won gold for best campaign, as did Martin Shewchuk from Radke Films for his Maytree Foundation spots.
