Moves this week at Curious Pictures, HSI, Mob, Attik, Lightborne, Absolute, Lost Planet

Curious Pictures in New York has signed two new directors for the US market. Canada's Fluorescent Hill featured on last year's shots New Directors Reel for their music video work, including Joey, for Boy and commercials for Burger King and Fruit de Delices. It is the first time that Fluorescent Hill have been repped in the US. Second up is man vs magnet, aka Matt Smithson, a recent graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design. Smithson has yet to shoot a commercial, but his reworking of the Being John Malkovich titles and personal projects Cut Your Hand Off and June 5 2004 have gained critical acclaim.

HSI Productions has said that director Matthew Rolston has left the company. Rolston had been represented via Venus, an HSI satellite. He is currently exploring his options.

Mob Film has signed director Mark Knight for commercials. Knight made the ident for shots 83 and he featured in shots 95's feature on the North of England. He started out at blue post production before moving to Stink and then becoming a freelance director's assistant. He joined Elite Television in Leeds in 2003 and has shot for local bands The Dharma and Juma and DJ Blockhead as well as idents for Cobra beer.

Creative agency Attik has hired industry veteran Michele Morris as senior producer. Morris has worked with the studio over the past 18 months as a freelance producer on Scion and AOL/AIM mail campaigns. She started out at Bates Worldwide and then moved to D'Arcy in St Louis, before going freelance. Morris has produced award-winning work for Coca-Cola, Miller, Mars, Skittles and Anheuser Busch among many others.

Veteran editor and former president of AICE Dallas, Tom Acito, has joined Lightborne, where he has already started work on a music video for country artist Trent Tomlinson and a branded entertainment piece for Lee Cooper Jeans. Acito joins after a four-year stint at Red Car/Dallas where he cut spots for Sierra Mist, Pepsi and Yamaha.

Post house Absolute has added Flame artist Hani Al Yousif to its roster. Al Yousif brings 14 years of Flame experience, having worked at the Mill, Framestore and Smoke & Mirrors.

Production company Lost Planet has taken on Christie Price as senior producer of its Los Angeles office. Price was formerly at Filmcore, where she started out as a post supervisor, working her way up to producer.
