Nexus directors Kuntzel + Deygas are the subject of not one but two books showcasing their work.

The two books, from publishers Gas and Pyramyd respectively, examine the pair's iconic design, titles and moving-image work and coincide with the release of the Pink Panther remake DVD starring Steve Martin, for which the pair designed 3D opening credits.

Gas 23 - part of a series on top designers and directors which has included in the past Nagi Noda, H5 and Jun Takahashi - has case studies of classic work from the duo including Caperino & Peperone, the cat and dog characters that are the trademark of uber chic Parisian boutique Colette from where they have collaborated with Comme Des Garcons and featured in Vogue Nippon among others. The book also examines the coolly retro styled opening credits for Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can, the duo's lamp shaped like a cat and their innovative com pet project to name but a few. It features commentary from the pair explaining the provenance of the projects.

Pyramyd's Design & Designers book, again simply called Kuntzel + Deygas, focuses unsurprisingly on the design aspects of their work but also features a wide selection of images, although it lacks a commentary from the pair. The book comes with an excellent CD showing their moving-image work as well as clips of them in action.
