Moves this week at Nexus, HRH Productions, Company 3, Guild of Commercial Filmmakers, Streetlight Films, Spontaneous, the Joneses, Serial Dreamer, Bond, BeachHouse Films

Nexus has signed producer Melody Sylvester. Sylvester, formerly a freelance producer with White House and for animation outfit Airside, has 12 years experience on both agency and production sides, having worked at Lowe, Mother @radical.media and One Small Step for brands including The Observer, Coca-Cola, Orange, BMW, Smirnoff and Levi's. Her music video credits include promos for Madonna, Bjork, Robbie Williams, Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim.

Producer Mandie Harris has joined HRH Productions. Formerly a commissioner with Island and Mushroom, but laterally freelance for Domino, Harris joins with newly signed veteran director Derek Coutts and young director Peter Thiedeke.

Marcelo Gandola has joined Company 3 as vice president, director of operations, for its New York facility. Company 3 provides colour correction and other post-production services for commercials, television and other media.

Jackie Adler has joined Australia's The Guild of Commercial Filmmakers as a producer. Adler's career on both production and agency sides includes stints at JWT London, Publicis London, Great Guns, Cowboy Films, Stark Films, Rogue Films and 180 Agency Amsterdam. She is producing for Jamie Doolan.

Streetlight Films has signed director David Chaudoir for commercials and music videos. Chaudoir, who comes from Alchemy, has shot promos for Athlete, Starsailor, and Graham Coxon, and idents for BBC, VH1, Channel 5 and the Sci Fi channel among others.

Animation and visual effects producer Bennett Lieber has joined Spontaneous as its new head of production. Lieber moves from design animation boutique Pure.

Director/cameraman Marcus Stevens has signed with bi-coastal The Joneses. Stevens, formerly with Reactor Films, has shot spots for Hills Bros, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, the American Indian College Fund and Rotary International.

Los Angeles based production company Serial Dreamer has signed director David Preizler for commercials. Formerly with Epoch Films, Preizler he was selected for Shoot Magazine's first-ever New Directors Showcase as well as the 2004 edition of Saatchi & Saatchi's New Directors Showcase.

Jeff Beckerman, founder of Cutting Vision, has launched a new editorial and FX studio, Bond. The company will undertake editing, motion design and post for clients working in TV, mobile, interactive and other media.

BeachHouse Films, Santa Monica has signed director Gregg Masuak for US representation. For the past four years, Masuak has been directing in Europe, his latest project being Head and Shoulders Mermaid for Saatchi & Saatchi London. His other spots include NEC and Emporio Armani. Masuak began his directing career in the US, directing music videos for Spice Girls, Hootie & the Blowfish, Celine Dion, Joe Cocker, Lionel Ritchie, Harry Connick Jr. and Kylie Minogue among others.
