Eurobest 2011 Open for Registration

Cannes Lions have announced that the 2011 edition of Eurobest is now open for registration. Hosted by Lisbon and taking place from 28 to 30 November, delegates can take advantage of an early bird discount and save €100 on a three-day pass by registering before 28 October. APA Show Tickets on Sale

Online Videos Awarded by Vzaar

Vzaar, the video hosting platform, has announced the winners of this year’s Video Festival Awards. After viewing over 1,000 online videos, judges selected winners from three categories as well as a best overall video. Production company Hilltribe took first prize in Best Product Video for their spot for client Muddy Boots Burgers. Creative Use of Video went to website building company Jimdo for their use of video to illustrate project workflow and collaboration. Outside Line won top marks for Best Video by a Creative Agency for their commercial for Becks Beer, while Karl Taylor Photography took Best Overall Video for the film No regrets. Nola Pictures Launches Animation Arm

Nola Pictures has launched a new full-service animation division. The new arm, NolaMola, already boasts talent such as director Juan Delcan and producer JJ Wilmoth and has worked on animated projects for De Beers, JetBlue, Burlington Coat Factory, Sundance Channel and U2. The studio’s recent Chilevision piece, La Verdad, also took top honours at this year’s ASIFA-East animation festival. For more information click here.
