As if iPad technology isn’t ground-breaking enough, Olive Media is raising the bar. The mobile company has just released an all-new interactive advertisement that allows iPad 2 users to take a 360-degree panoramic look around a car, simply by moving and tilting their device. Not just any car though: the all-new Infiniti JX. And if that’s not enough, there is no app to download—the first time that has ever been done.
The mobile-campaign was designed to change the way ads are viewed on the iPad. Instead of the quick glance and swipe of the finger the minute the ad appears, Olive Media hopes to slow consumers down with something much less static. Users can look in all directions with this ad, including up and down, therefore providing a view of the interior of the Infinit JX from every seat in the car, ultimately giving the allusion of being in the vehicle. Some features are also showcased, as well as a 360-degree exterior view of the car. Because this advertisement harnesses the iPad’s gyroscope technology, no downloaded application is needed: a world first.
