Having scouted the world for the finest young footballing talent throughout 2012, finalists of AKQA and Nike's The Chance arrived at the brand's WHQ in Beaverton yesterday, where they'll battle it out to earn the prize of a lifetime in the US finals.

The global scouting programme called for the finest talents to apply and compete at different stages with the aim of impressing elite Nike scouts, who scoured over 50 countries to find the greatest unsigned talent.

For the Chance UK Finals, the best 100 players battled it out in Manchester with dreams of progressing to the Global Final in Barcelona as seen in the video above. Every test, trial and match was an opportunity to step up and impress but only three would progress. The prize? A tour around the globe to train and play against some of the world’s best teams.

Watch a roundup of the UK finals as players are put through physical technical drills as well as an emotional journey with Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand making an appearance at the final game.

Yesterday (Sunday 22 July) 100 finalists arrived at Nike's world headquarters in Beaverton where they have since received FuelBands and will be put through a final mix of competitive drills to become the latest winners of The Chance in the region and progress to the global finals in Barcelona. You can follow progress and updates from Beaverton this week at Nike Football or follow @nikesoccer. The Global Final will take place in Barcelona this August.
