powered byIf you’re based in London and didn’t manage to squint your way down to the Palais for the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors' Showcase in Cannes last week, fear not. The organisers will provide another opportunity to experience the event closer to home when it brings the annual showcase to you for the first time ever.
Following the event last Thursday morning, which saw evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins spread his memes (above), Saatchi & Saatchi will now bring the NDS to London’s Southbank on Thursday 4 July in the city’s temple to contemporary creativity.
The London event will feature a screening of the reel, commentated by Robert Senior, head of Saatchi & Saatchi’s Worldwide Creative Board, providing exclusive behind the scenes information on each film’s selection as well as a post-event panel discussion with directors, producers and creatives lead by Senior.
Next week’s screening will provide a unique opportunity for those who couldn’t make it to Cannes (or those without delegate passes) to experience the reel in a state-of-the-art theatre, hear the untold stories behind the selections and listen to the perspectives of top people in the industry first hand.
The NDS London screening will be presented with the support of sponsors Academy Films, Adstream, Eclectic, Electric Theatre, LBB Online, Cannes Lions, Great Guns, Hungry Man, Outsider, Sonny London and WAM.
Doors will open at 7pm with a complimentary bar service (included in ticket price) and the show will start at 7.30pm. The evening will close with a set by DJ Don Letts with cash bar available until close. Tickets are available to buy online here.
