London-based production company, Habana, has made two new director signings. German, Maurus, joins for UK commercial representation and Nathaniel Kramer has also been added.
With roots in photography - Maurus (pictured, left) was inspired by the photographs of Henri Cartier- Bresson, Helen Levitt and Saul Leiter. This led him to embark on a fashion photography apprenticeship where he explored his passion for stills and later moving image when he entered into the world of film at the Munich Film School. Since graduating in 2002 he was quickly very successful and has worked on over 100 commercials for brands such as Nescafe, McDonalds and Nintendo. His strong cinematographic style and storytelling produces cohesive, compelling and highly original films.
Kramer has an uncanny eye for beauty, which has blossomed from his roots in fashion photography for Vogue, Grazia and Elle to name a few. From this foundation he has continued to nurture and thrive in many ways. From Producing the award winning Broadway play A View From a Bridge and Emmy-nominated TV series Choices to picking up more awards for directing and producing the documentary A Long Haul.
