Hudson hires Smith

Hudson Edit has added acclaimed editor Rich Smith to its roster as it opens its new Detroit office. Smith, formerly of Beast Detroit and Mad River Post, joins editors Erich Wiemer and Mike Mojica; after effects artist Frank Marra; flame artist Jon Jovich and finisher Kevin Jones in the company’s newly renovated full-service facility, located on the corner of Woodward Avenue and John R in downtown Detroit. A proven creative talent with a devoted clientele, Smith has cut dozens of award-winning spots for national brands including Dodge, Chevy, Bud Light Lime, Spike TV and Verizon, establishing himself as an editor with a flair for comedic timing and visual storytelling. He’s also edited music videos for Some Velvet Evening and The White Stripes.
