Microsoft has announced that Satya Nadella has been appointed as CEO and will join the board of directors effective immediately. Nadella has been with the company since 1992 and most recently held the position of executive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group. During his time with the technology power house Nadella has spearheaded major strategy and technical shifts across the company’s portfolio of products and services including the move to cloud based technology supporting Bing, Xbox, Office and other services.
