Splice expands

Minneapolis-based creative studio Splice has announced the expansion of its VFX department with the hiring of VFX artist Patricio Fernandez. Fernandez has an impressive resume of credits including features such as Wrath of the Titans, Terminator: Salvation, Iron Man 3 and Captain America: The First Avenger. Fernandez began his career in the mid-90s and since then has served as a creative and producer for commercials, an assistant editor and editor for features and founded Illusion Factory, a Florida-based post production company. Commercially the VFX artist has worked on a number of Super Bowl ads as well as spots for brands including Kia, Microsoft, DirectTV and Cannon.
