Film and commercial VFX supervisor Ben Gibbs, VFX supervisor and lead flame artist Jan Cilliers and executive producer Celest Gilber have announced the launch of Girl Overboard; a Californian-based creative studio. Gibbs is best known for collaborating with Spike Jonze on feture films including Her and Where the Wild Things Are. Cilliers has a history of creating cinematic images for such films as Star Trek, TRON: Legacy, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and spots for brands including Apple Squarespace and Nike. Gibbs and Gilbert have previously collaborated on campaigns for brands such as Nike, adidas, Levis and Pepsi.
