MADAM has launched little madam, a dedicated division nurturing fresh, talented
artisans to the commercial market.

With a focus on showcasing the unique, the directors represented by the division come from diverse media and film backgrounds – whether recently graduated or developing their careers.

Imaginative filmmaking is at the heart of the little madam collective, which launches with filmmakers Effie Pappa, Lawrence Blankenbyl and Lucio Arese.

Pappa won the 25th McLaren Award for Best British Animation at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2014 for her stop-motion short, My Stuffed Granny and is a 2014 National Film & Television School graduate.

Blankenbyl completed a two year artistic residency at Fabrica and won a Gold Cannes Lion for his work on The Pet Shop Boys' Integral promo.

Arese has a background in architecture, music composition and graphic design. His film, Mimic, is a reflection of the personal union of music and images built through animation.
