It's often said that the Great Wall of China is the only man-made structure visible from space, but South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has added to the list with a giant message written in the sand for a heart-warming campaign.

Using its New Thinking ethos the car brand agreed to help a 13 year old girl send a message to her dad, who is currently serving aboard the International Space Station.

The company conceived a way for the girl's message to be conveyed to her father in giant letters, formed in sand by the wheels of Hyundai vehicles and seen from space to successfully pull off the feat.

Using the Delamar Dry Lake in Nevada as a blank canvas, Hyundai Motors dispatched 11 of its Genesis cars to take care of the job. Measuring an incredible 5.55 km2, the creation has been officially recognised as "the largest tire track image" ever by representatives from Guinness World Records.
