The who's who of advertising and design attended a swanky event held by D&AD last night to announce the 53rd annual Professional Pencil winners in 2015.

It was also a significant night as Graphite and Wood Pencils made their debut, replacing traditional Nomination' and 'In Book' achievements respectively.
Leo Burnett Chicago/London/Toronto and Holler London's #LikeAGirl campaign, which sought to change negative perceptions of the phrase 'like a girl', was the most awarded piece of work on the night - with two Yellow, three Graphite and two Wood Pencils in addition to a Black.

President's Award
D&AD President, Mark Bonner (below), selected celebrated co-designer of Britain's iconic motorway signs and RCA Tour, Margaret Calvert, to receive the President's Award in 2015. She came up with simple, easy-to-understand pictograms, including the signs for 'men at work' (a man digging), which revolutionised public signage in the UK.
