Kapur joins Independent

London-based production company Independent Films has announced the signing of internationally renowned director Shekhar Kapu for commercial representation. During his career Kapur, who is one of the few directors who has worked extensively in India’s film Industry Bollywood as well as in Hollywood, has shot high-profile spots for brands including Schweppes, featuring Nicole Kidman, and a short commissioned by Swarovski which stars Julia Stiles, Lily Cole and Haley Bennett. Aside from directing Kapur also heads the Media division at the National Innovation Council that advises the Indian Prime Minister on Innovation in Media, Social Media and New Media.
