Enjoy Tube Art With Downloadable Soundtrack
Benedict Drew crafts de-re-touch, an interactive underground art ad with an accompanying electronic soundtrack.
While the high temperatures underground and overcrowded conditions may seem suffocating, the biggest and most refreshing variant on the tube is the advertising that we subconsciously come into contact with.
Next week, a piece of new interactive artwork, de-re-touch, will be unveiled underground that will be hard to ignore.
Combining video and an electronically experimental soundtrack, British artist Benedict Drew has created a new form of advertising, specifically designed to suit the underground experience.
Commuters will be able to listen to the 10-track album here, which was crafted with their daily journey in mind.
De-re-touch is an eight-second long spot that is designed to interrupt the stream of adverts and images we absorb daily and connect listeners to their underground environment.
The artwork will be unveiled on Monday and will be exhibited until February 28. For more information and to download the album, click here.
