If you're counting down the days until the Christmas break, yet the flurry of seasonal campaigns is getting you down and stressing you out – the new KitKat ad may be just what you need.
While KitKat is known to push the limits and encourage the public to take regular breaks, it seems its latest is no different, thanks to a little help from JWT.
The 30-second ad (above) which aired over the weekend offers viewers a taste of well, absolutely nothing.
Without using any props, actors or exotic sets, the spot, helmed by Connor Pearce (yes – there was still a creative team and director behind the project), features a blank white screen with absolutely no action.
Featuring only a gentle voiceover from British actor Tom Hollander as a soothing guide, the spot’s unique approach has perplexed the public with its attempt to de-stress and declutter our overexcited minds.

So, if Christmas is beginning to get a bit much this year and advertising campaigns are only contributing to your stress rather than helping with their run-up to the festivities, tune in to KitKat’s ad and relish in the 30-second long peace.
You never know, you may crave that it was slightly longer…
