Micah Scarpelli has opened new post house, Uppercut, a creative editorial company that offers editing services and boasts a visual effects department.

The company will allow its team to work in an intimate, boutique-style environment. Founder, Scarpelli, has spent the majority of his career working for large editorial and post companies and has collaborated with brands such as, Mercedes Benz, Subway, and Reebok.

Joining him is partner, Joe Wencoff, who assumes the position as creative director of visual effects. Wencoff has previously worked as a Flame artist, compositor, and VFX supervisor for a number of brands including Volvo, Nike and Budweiser.

Added to the line up of editors is Alvaro del Val, who previously worked as senior editor at Madrid/Dubai-based production studio, Serena.
