8th Street production company welcome new comers Culprit Creative to their nest of directorial talent. The Culprit Creative trio, consists of directors/co-founders David Dinetz and Dylan Trussell, and cinematographer Colt Seman. The inspiring filmmakers made their way onto the broadcast media production scene harnessing vibrant energy and vanguard style to create viral marketing campaigns that focus on brand storytelling.

Culprit Creative was featured in the 2014 Forbes 30 Under 30: Marketing & Advertising list. The threesome specializes in high-speed filming using a repurposed robotic arm traditionally used to build automobiles. This allows for added motion to slow motion, which they claim creates a “never before seen imagery” as their trademark style. Each player’s complimentary strengths feed one another’s ideas to effectually reach target audiences “without the feeling of being sold,” says Dinetz.

Culprit Creative’s work spans automotive, sports, lifestyle, beauty, liquids, and comedy for clients such as Tesla, K-Swiss, and upcoming work for Reese’s Puffs.

New Yorker Dinetz and LA native Trussell met through their posts at agency Ignition Creative. As Director of Production at the agency, Dinetz helped to spearhead the Tomb Raider video game campaign, which became the most successful game in the first half of 2013. Dinetz has a powerful sense of story and a deft ability of reigning in the creativity of his team with structure and reinforcement. Trussell is a progeny to industry parents, his mother a producer, and father known as the lighting director for Pulp Fiction (1994). Soon after he was brought on at the agency, Trussell directed several commercials for Mattel and ESPN. Originally from Minnesota, Seman left the family business of private security and funeral homes, pulled together his hardworking Midwest work ethic, and pursued his true passion of cinematography. Seman is recognized for creating the two most viewed series (On Pace with Pastrana and Drivin Dirty) with Redbull Media House for their Youtube channel.
