Shazam Releases The Beast For Magnum
Wild new campaign is fully Shazam-enabled, allowing users to access hidden exclusive content.
It looks like Shazam is well on the way to making everything, well, Shazam-able. Having recently launched commercial initiative Shazam for Brands, the uber-popular music recognition app (which is used over 20 million times a day) has now teamed up with ice cream giant Magnum on a new multi-platform campaign.
Created to promote the brand's new Double range, Release The Beast centres around the idea of unleashing your spirit animal (think panthers, lions and polar bears) and spans print, TV and cinema, including a 60-second spot [below] featuring a bevy of beauties sashaying around a variety of glamorous locations accompanied by their beastly familiars.
But that's not all: both the spot and print ads are Shazam-enabled, meaning users can use the app's visual and audio recognition technology to unlock exclusive hidden content. By pointing your phone at the print or TV ad, you get access to the full-length version of the Release The Beast film, a special 'Discover Your Beast' quiz (yes, really) and a link to Jack White's High Ball Stepper, the track featured in the ad.
Curious? Try it out for yourself by Shazam-ing the image below.
