UK advertising agency iris London has appointed Sophie Lewis to head of planning and Richard Edwards to group planning director.

Lewis joins iris from AMV BBDO where she led strategy on Sainsbury’s for three and a half years, including the acclaimed Christmas in A Day Campaign.

Edwards joins following a stint as joint head of strategy at RKCR, where he led the planning for its award-winning Land Rover work, including the Hibernot and Rugby World Cup sponsorship.

In addition to the new arrivals, iris’ current head of planning Ben Essen has also been promoted to executive planning director. In his new role, Essen will focus on developing thought leadership and driving breakthrough strategic thinking across a progressive looking agency portfolio of clients that includes adidas, Dominos, Samsung, Virgin Active and Wickes.
