New York-based bi-coastal production company Honor Society has signed comedy director Lucas Spaulding to its roster for US representation.
It’s the first time Spaulding has been signed as a solo director, although he brings with him over two decades worth of experience in production and post. He’s helmed projects for the likes of Tech CU, Burger King and Honda, as well as a short crime comedy Sequestered, which debuted at Tribeca in 2014 and other award shows. Spaulding started out in production after writing and directing Super 8 short films, which landed him his first job at Cal Riney and Partners, before transitioning into editing at Mackenzie Cutler. He’s worked at Cosmo Street, Spotwelders, Whitehouse as well as NO6 (where he continues to be represented), and collaborated with directors Guy Shelmerdine and Richard Farmer to form the HAPPY collective at Smuggler.
