International post production and VFX studio Glassworks Barcelona has promoted Ruben Llusia Bernaldez (pictured, left) and Joan Amat to head of 2D and managing director respectively.
Bernaldez started at Glassworks London in 2009 before returning home to work for the company in Barcelona in 2013. In his new role, he will work closely with the London and Amsterdam offices.
Amat has been with the Barcelona office since it opened in 2011. Previously serving as head of production, he has guided many VFX projects through the studio including Justice New Lands, Gazprom Landscape, Coca-Cola Pemberton, Codorníu We celebrate everything that inspires us and AB InBev Infected By Music (tomorrowland). Amat will work closely with Rick Naude (MD Amsterdam) and Aleks Ugarow (MD London) to make the most of the European offices’ talent and resources.
