A Day in the Life of Judy Hill
Nexus' EP captures her APA trip to Seoul; exotic animals, exquisite snacks & ending the day with egg cleanser.
06.30: Navigating the toilet system was a challenge. It took me three days to work out how to flush it (and that’s only as I asked). I was forced to use the emergency call on day one as I pressed the smiley chap button and a ‘Day of the Triffids’ style pipe appeared out of the basin and flooded the cubicle.
08.00: My beautiful view in the morning overlooking the empty hotel swimming pool (it was -5 outside), Namsam Mountain with Seoul Tower perched on top.
09.30: Off to our first meeting, crossing the Han River.
10.00: Met with some unexpected pets at production company, Mass Message. The company owner keeps exotic pets including alligators. Their parents, kept outside, were thankfully away that day.
12.00: A quick snack in-between meetings. Helter skelter sausage and crisps, anyone?
14.00: Presenting to the delightful creative department at Cheil.
16.00: A pit stop at a local supermarket to stock up on kimchi and try the delicacies. I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here came to mind.
16.30: Wowing the lovely folks at Value Korea with our New Yorker AR app.
18.00: A run around the old town. Selfie sticks galore. Not me, I hasten to add.
20.00: In his enthusiasm for the bimimbap, Steve Davies of APA fame got burnt. Thanks for organising the trip Steve and hope you’re ok.
22.30: Left my mark at a local bar adorned with customer’s doodles made on Post-it notes. I’m obsessed with Post-it notes and being totally surrounded by them made me very happy. That and the local soju.
00.00: End the day with newly purchased red egg cleanser and apply night mask with snail secretion. You’ll be pleased to hear that the photo at the top was taken post treatment. I’m the one in the middle.
