Los Angeles-based production company Epoch Films has signed director Douglas Avery for US representation.
Avery began his career as a photography graduate from NYU. He was lucky to assist established photographer Annie Leibovitz, followed by a stint with Richard Avedon and Steven Klein. After this, he went on to shoot fashion photography for leading fashion titles, before experimenting with film, eventually making the short, Hitch, which screened at Cannes’ Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors Showcase. Following this, he began getting noticed in the industry, winning Best New Director at the British Craft Awards and a Clio for Best Direction among other awards.
Avery was previously repped by Furlined over the past decade.
