Are you a talented young creative type based in Tokyo and looking for a way into the advertising industry? Well, now's your chance: after stints in Amsterdam, London, Sao Paulo and Shanghai, top advertising shop Wieden + Kennedy is bringing its creative accelerator program to the land of the Rising Sun.

First launched in 2011 at W+K Amsterdam, The Kennedys aims to identify and help the next generation of creatives apply and develop their talents. The seven-month program, which kicks off in August this year, will see five successful applicants form an experimental and independent group within W+K Tokyo, with a mission to be a competitive, anarchic team that works on short-term projects, producing real work for real clients.

Although previous advertising experience is not necessary, applicants must be at least 20 years old, possess a "unique creative vision" and able to speak Japanese (English proficiency is a plus, but not necessary). Photographers, writers, artists, designers, filmmakers, animators, game designers, and planners are all eligible to enter.

If you're interested in finding out more, W+K Tokyo will be holding an open house at gallery space W+K+ in Nakameguro district this month.
