R/GA's Start-Up Academy Showcase focuses on female-founded start-ups and you can rest assured, that as it's a Friday session, it'll be easier to swap business cards.
It may well be the last day of the Cannes Lions festival, but unless you've got a yacht invite and are being whisked away from the mainland, there's no excuse not to peruse around the Palais and soak up the last of the event's atmosphere. It might be just what you need to cure your shots party hangover...
If you are feeling particularly fragile, then there's nothing a hair of the dog and some sun can't cure... Or a start-up showcase can't solve.
You may have caught the New Director's Showcase and Young Director Award yesterday, but if you want to take Friday as chilled as possible, then head down to the Innovation Stage to catch R/GA's fourth-annual Start-Up Academy Showcase.
From 14.00-15.30, 10 female-founded start-ups from Africa, Indonesia, Romania, England and the US, will present their companies, having received a week's worth of guidance from Cannes Lions and the digital-focused agency. The session will not only expose you to new potential leaders, but it will be a great chance to mingle and see what role technology will play in new businesses. Plus, everyone will be feeling a little ropey by Friday so you can rest assured that people will be more willing to swap buisness cards.
