Nordahl gets Pulse racing

Global content studio Pulse Films has signed director Joanna Nordahl to its roster for UK representation across commercials and music videos.

Swedish native Nordahl, who divides her time between London and Stockholm, has created music videos, short films, documentaries and commercials as well as contemporary performance pieces, garnering her recognition both as a director and visual artist.

In 2013-2015 she initiated and directed One Wish, an eight-episode documentary series for National Swedish Television (SVT). Nordahl has also collaborated with Norwegian contemporary choreographer Ludvig Daae, creating cinematic and interactive visuals for live performances. Their debut show MM (2011) recently passed the 100 gigs mark and has toured in eleven countries. The duo's latest piece, HYPERFRUIT, is currently touring internationally, while their new multi-platform project, IN MEMORIAM, is scheduled to premiere this autumn.

In February 2016, Nordahl received a double Swedish Grammy nomination for Music Video of the Year, and took home the grand prize for writing/directing the short film Nothing but a Heartbeat, a collaboration with pop act Say Lou Lou.

Her latest work, #dearcondom for the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education (RFSU), paints a raw, racy and honest portrait of safe sex and was controversially pulled from some platforms for its nudity. She also recently directed the music video for Tove Styrke’s Sway.
