Blinkink hires new animators

Soho-based commercial production company Blinkink has announced the signing of two new directors to its commercial talent roster – independent animator Sophie Koko Gate and London-based animator, illustrator and filmmaker James Papper.

Sophie Koko Gate’s film Half Wet (above, left) was her second-year project at the Royal College of Art and was made the Official Selection at both the BFI Film Festival and SXSW. She's since worked for top clients such as Google and Airbnb. Her upcoming short film Slug Life will be premiering at the BFI London in November. 

Humour is the backbone of everything James Papper creates, from the irreverent comedy shorts he’s written and directed to his animated spots for VOXI (above, right), Vodafone’s mobile network for under-30s, which comprise a series of witty, food-themed videos that poke fun at millennial phone data dependency.
