Comedy creatives join Caviar
Caviar Los Angeles signs new filmmakers Maggie Carey, Ben Sinclair, and Bo Burnham.
Caviar is growing its roster by adding three new directors: Maggie Carey, Ben Sinclair, and Bo Burnham (above from left to right). Having already garnered recognition in the worlds of television, feature film and comedy, the trio will be applying their creative skills to Caviar's branded content production.
Maggie Carey is an award-winning writer, director, and producer best known for screenwriting and directing her debut rom-com feature of 2013, The To Do List starring Aubrey Plaza and Bill Hader. Originally from Boise, Idaho, Carey has directed star-studded comedic ensembles, helming episodes of shows like Silicon Valley, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Last Man on Earth, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Love, and Barry.
Ben Sinclair is the writer/director/co-creator of the critically acclaimed web series-turned-HBO show High Maintenance, currently in its third season. Sinclair also plays the show’s main character, a New York City marijuana dealer with an eccentric client-base. In addition to High Maintenance, Sinclair has appeared in Maniac, Home Again, Sisters, and Safe.
Bo Burnham started posting comedic songs on YouTube at age 16 and went on to created comedy specials for Jerrod Carmichael and Chris Rock. His debut feature, Eighth Grade, which he wrote and directed, was released in August 2018 to widespread critical acclaim (and a stonking 99% on Rotten Tomatoes).
