Amsterdam and Berlin-based production company, HALAL, has bolstered its core team with the appointment of executive producer Ivo van Riet.

The news follows the launch of HALAL’s first office outside the borders of the Netherlands, and is a result of the company’s expansion in the German market and further global ambition.

In the role of executive producer, van Riet brings with him international experience gained from working across three continents on projects for the likes of Mercedes, BMW, Rimowa and Levi’s. Based in Germany since 2017, van Riet will manage HALAL's roster of talent in Berlin and further develop the company’s local footprint.

Van Riet is one of several new joiners to the company. Award-winning director Paul Geusebroek recently signed to HALAL's Netherlands roster, in addition to Ryan Staake (Germany) and Rogier Smalhout (worldwide). Photographers Fredrik Altinell and Tobias Faisst are fresh additions to the photography talent the company represents globally. Along with boosting its roster of international talent, partnerships are being set up in various markets ensuring opportunities for HALAL's talent to grow on an international scale - the first of which will be announced early 2019.

“There is a worldwide curiosity and attraction towards NL talent," comments van Riet. "HALAL has consistently built a roster of extremely talented storytellers, and have given them global opportunities. German brands and agencies share that strive towards creative excellence on an international scale – the amount of awards picked up by German brands and agencies at global award-shows is a manifest to that. So I’m truly looking forward to matching our talent and expertise to that scale of jobs.”
