HELLO! Signs Barcelo for US Market

French director Didier Barcelo joins Los Angeles-based HELLO! for US commercial representation. Honored as Best Director of the Year by CB News in 2007 and 2008, the director has won  Clios, Epica and Eurobest awards, as well as shortlisted at Cannes. Barcelo continues to be repped by Paris-based Les Télécréateurs for the European market.

Noted for his comedic and action-packed style, Barcelo has directed spots for Volkswagen, Toyota, Orange, IKEA, and Canal Sat.  His short film credits include international festival favorite “Les Crayons” and “Les N’Importe Quoi (The Anything),” an animated short he also wrote and co-produced. 

Barcelo began his career in advertising as a copywriter, choosing to leave the agency at the peak of his career to spend more time with his family. After working as a voice actor for radio and television commercials, Barcelo began directing spots in 2003, first working with Quad Productions before joining Les Télécréateurs in 2007.  He is currently writing his first feature film and has upcoming spot work for Visa out of Saatchi & Saatchi, Renault for Publicis and FDJ out of Young & Rubicam.

Barcelo joins the HELLO! roster which includes Amy Berg, PR Brown, jacobsbriere, Daniel Börjesson and Syndrome.
