BOL launches to push the boundaries of animation and illustration production
A new Barcelona based production house representing a range of directors and illustrators to create projects that are more than just the norm.

BOL is a full service animation and illustration production house made up of a hand-picked roster of international directors and illustrators. Their unique strengths and diverse voices cover a broad spectrum of narratives, styles and techniques, to develop short-form commissioned and original content across all screens and media.
The new company is led by Marcello Buselli, CEO & EP and Ibran Trassierra, EP, they are the two of the founders of animation studios Device, All in Pixel and Amigo Total. They are incorporating their current in-house team of producers and creatives with BOL to offer a wider range of content possibilities.
“Our aim is to keep developing outstanding work and to create a collaborative ecosystem between our roster of directors and illustrators, expanding what we can offer to our clients,” said Ibran Trassierra.
Bringing in over 10 years of experience in the production industry, both Buselli and Trassierra have produced animation for some of the world's most established brands such as Google, Spotify and American Express.
“Merging our knowledge and resources with some of our favourite artists felt like a natural progression for us. We are now excited to create more unique original and commissioned content with BOL’s infrastructure” adds Marcello Buselli.
The launch of BOL comes along with 3 new productions, displaying the versatility and production capabilities of the company. An unreal lysergic journey for American luggage brand Away directed by Genís Rigol and art directed by Emma Roulette, this year’s intro for the basketball team Utah Jazz directed by Amigo Total, and a soon to be released full CGI campaign for Ikea directed by Device.
“Pre-launch BOL has had some great reactions especially from the French market. We are now looking forward to sharing some of the productions we’ve been working on lately!” says France executive producer Pierre Gobin. BOL’s contemporary roster includes a variety of global talent, both new and established. Covering a range of styles and techniques in both illustration and animation.
