Brought to life by the production and post team Camp Lucky, Indiana University’s latest campaign serves as a reminder and open invitation to all who seek a future driven education.

Set on two of the nine Indiana University campuses, Bloomington and Indianapolis, the campaign helmed by Director Jeff Bednarz showcases the spectrum of courses that not only position IU as a leader but also highlight a commitment to embracing the future with boldness and bravery. Offering educational courses spanning from business and sciences to medicine and the arts, the campaign highlights Indiana University as a leader in creating tomorrow, today.

“Growing up in the Midwest and being a big College sports fan, I have always admired Indiana University. Being there in person, and seeing the true quality of the people and place took that appreciation to a new level,” notes Bednarz. “Our challenge, really, was how to capture all the incredible facets in a short piece: from the inspiration of young people dreaming about their future, to the engaged and passionate professors, the groundbreaking research, premiere sports and more. There’s a diversity of experience at the University and our number one goal was to have it genuinely shine.”

From the many details, came a complete picture: Editor Alex Heisterkamp cleverly used Bednarz’s camera movements as transition points to cut the piece into a fluid artistic impression. With the keen eye and guidance of Lead Designer Seth Olson, the Camp Lucky animation and design team made these moments work seamlessly.

“We shot a lot of footage because there is so much in Indiana University’s story to capture and with docu you cannot predict where and when the magic will happen,” adds Bednarz.

“Alex and Seth were incredible partners in really creating a seamless whole with nuanced transitions that supported the overall narrative. This was such a fun project and a chance for us to deliver IU to viewers in a thoughtful, high energy way.”
